Brewers Earn Big Comeback Win Over Arizona 7-5

It was a night of firsts for the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night in their comeback win over the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-5.

It was the first time the team had erased a four-run deficit to win this season. It was also the first time Jesse Winker hit a home run this season.

Milwaukee was down 4-0 after the second inning. However, Jesse Winker pulled the team within one with a two-run home run in the fourth inning to cut the Arizona lead to 4-3. The Brewers were down 5-3 heading into the seventh inning.

In the seventh inning, the Brewers loaded the bases with nobody out. Christian Yelich drove in a run via an RBI ground out. William Contreras proceeded to hit a two-run double to the wall to give Milwaukee the 6-5 lead. Later in the inning, Willy Adames beat out a ground ball to allow William Contreras to score and give Milwaukee the 7-5 lead.

Joel Payamps and Devin Williams pitched scoreless innings in the eighth and ninth innings after the Brewers grabbed the lead. Milwaukee won 7-5.

Milwaukee is 38-35 and will go for the series win on Wednesday afternoon at 1:10pm at American Family Field against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
