Williams Blows First Save in Brewers 7-5 Loss to Twins

The Milwaukee Brewers can't seem to catch a break at the moment. They lost their fifth straight game on Tuesday night 7-5 to the Minnesota Twins.

After Christian Yelich shined at the plate with three hits and four runs batted in, it was up to Brewers Closer Devin Williams to close the game in the ninth inning with a 5-3 lead. Unfortunately, a leadoff home run by Michael Taylor cut the Brewers lead to 5-4. Then, with Will Castro on base, Donovan Solano singled to tie the game.

With the game knotted at five, Carlos Correa stepped to the plate. Correa sent a ball into the left field seats for a walk-off home run, giving the Twins a 7-5 win over the Brewers. It was the first blown save of the season for Williams. Listen to the postgame show from Tuesday night below.

Milwaukee is 34-33 and has lost five straight games. They will try to split the two-game series with Minnesota on Wednesday at 12:10pm. Listen to the Baseball Postgame Show with Tim Allen after the game on 97.3 The Game in Milwaukee and the iHeart Radio App.
