Brewers starter Adrian Houser didn't allow a run for his second consecutive start. He worked into the sixth inning and then handed the baton to the bullpen. Joel Payamps, Bryse Wilson, Hoby Milner, and Jake Cousins completed scoreless outings out of the bullpen.
On offense, the home run ball carried Milwaukee. Willy Adames hit a two-run home run in the first inning to give the Brewers a 2-0 lead. In the seventh inning, the Brewers added two insurance runs with solo home runs from Owen Miller and Brian Anderson. Milwaukee led 4-0 after seven innings. That would be the final score.
