Brewers Snap Losing Streak with 7-3 Win Over Giants

The streak is over. After losing the first five games of the road trip, the Milwaukee Brewers beat the San Francisco Giants 7-3 in the series finale on Sunday afternoon.

William Contreras gave the Brewers the lead in the second inning with a two-run home run. Milwaukee led 2-0.

That lead didn’t last long though. The Giants scored two runs with two outs in the bottom of the second inning to tie the game at two.

Milwaukee regained the lead in the top of the third inning on a sacrifice fly that scored Christian Yelich. That gave the Brewers a 3-2 lead. They never looked back.

Willy Adames added a home run in the fifth inning, the 100th of his MLB career. That gave the Brewers a 5-2 lead.

Milwaukee added a couple runs in the ninth inning to extend the lead to 7-2. Thairo Estrada hit a rare home run against Brewers Closer Devin Williams in the ninth inning, but that was it. Milwaukee won 7-3 to snap their six game losing streak. Listen to the postgame show with Tim Allen from Sunday by clicking the link below.

Milwaukee is 19-15 as they return for a week-long homestand at American Family Field. A series with the Los Angeles Dodgers begins Monday night at 6:40pm. Tim Allen will host The Baseball Postgame Show immediately after the game on 97.3 The Game in Milwaukee and the iHeart Radio App.
