Brewers Losing Streak Continues with 4-1 Loss to Giants

The skid continued on Saturday night for the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers lost their sixth consecutive game and remained winless on the road trip with their 4-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants.

The Giants scored three runs in the first three innings and jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Despite putting runners on the bases, the Brewers did not score through the first eight innings of the game. The Giants added a run in the eighth inning with a solo home run to extend the lead to 4-0.

The Brewers scratched across a run in the ninth inning to cut the deficit to 4-1. But Christian Yelich, representing the tying run, flew out to end the ballgame. The Giants won 4-1.

Also, Brewers Manager Craig Counsell was ejected for the second consecutive Saturday after the umpires seemingly gave Giants pitcher Alex Cobb three disengagements. Under the new rules, pitchers are allowed only two, with the third resulting in a balk.

After starting the season 14-5, Milwaukee is now 18-15. They have lost six straight games and will try to salvage the final game of the road trip on Sunday afternoon. First pitch at 3:05pm. After the game, Tim Allen will host The Baseball Postgame Show on 97.3 The Game in Milwaukee and on the iHeart Radio App.
