Brewers Fall 4-2 To Tigers

The Milwaukee Brewers have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season. After losing the series finale to the Boston Red Sox on Sunday afternoon, the Brewers offense was shut down by the pitching of the Detroit Tigers on Monday night in a 4-2 Brewers loss.

The Brewers struck first with a first inning home run by William Contreras. It was the first home run of the season for Contreras. Milwaukee held a 1-0 lead.

The Tigers struck back with a three-run home run by Nick Maton in the top of the third inning to take a 3-1 lead.

Mike Brosseau hit a solo home run in the bottom of the third inning to climb to a 3-2 deficit.

The Tigers added another run in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 4-2. That would be the final.

The Brewers are 15-8 on the season. The second game of the series against Detroit will be Tuesday night at 6:40pm at American Family Field. Listen to The Baseball Postgame Show with Tim Allen presented by Hitters Baseball Academy after the game.
