Brewers Earn 6-5 Win in Extra Innings Over Mariners

The Milwaukee Brewers refuse to lose. Though the game was hanging in the balance at times, the Brewers won their third game in a row on Tuesday night with a 6-5 win over the Seattle Mariners in eleven innings.

Christian Yelich led off the game with a solo home run to give the Brewers an early 1-0 lead. He added an RBI single in his next at-bat, to give Milwaukee a 2-0 lead. Willy Adames brought Yelich home with an RBI double to extend Milwaukee’s lead to 3-0.

The Mariners struck back in the bottom of the third inning, scoring four runs off Brewers starter Colin Rea, to take a 4-3 lead.

Adames hit a solo home run to tie the game in the sixth inning.

The game remained tied through all nine innings. In the tenth inning, both teams scored a run, sending the game to the eleventh inning. In the eleventh inning, Milwaukee scored on an RBI ground out by Adames to take a 6-5 lead. Bryse Wilson held Seattle scoreless in the bottom of the eleventh inning to give the Brewers the 6-5 win.

Milwaukee has won three games in a row and five of their last six games. They are 13-5. They wrap-up the ten game road trip on Wednesday afternoon in Seattle.
