Brewers Offense Erupts For 11-2 Win Over Padres

The Milwaukee Brewers scored early and often against the San Diego Padres on Friday night. Milwaukee put up four runs in the first inning and never looked back in their 11-2 win over San Diego. The Brewers have taken the first two games of the series against the Padres.

In the first inning, Milwaukee hit four doubles. That led to four runs and a 4-0 lead.

In the second inning, Christian Yelich hit a solo home run for his second long ball of the season to extend the lead to 5-0.

Then, Rowdy Tellez entered the chat. Tellez hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to give the Brewers a 6-0 lead. In the next inning, he hit a three-run home run, which proved to be the dagger and gave Milwaukee a 10-1 lead. Tellez has five home runs so far this season to lead Milwaukee.

Brian Anderson grabbed the last RBI of the night for the Brewers with a ground out in the eighth inning. Milwaukee won 11-2.

Eric Lauer had a bounce-back start on the mound. He went six innings, gave up just one run, walked two batters, and struck out five Padres. After two rough outings to start the season, this start was much needed for Lauer.

The Brewers are 10-4 on the season. The third game of the series in San Diego will be Saturday at 3:05pm. Freddy Peralta will be on the mound for the Crew.
