Brewers Lose Series Finale to Arizona 7-3

For the first time this season, the Milwaukee Brewers have lost a series. 

The Brewers lost the series finale to the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-3 on Wednesday afternoon. In his first start for the Brewers, pitcher Jansen Junk gave up five runs in just under five innings. That gave Arizona a 5-0 lead.

In the seventh inning, the Brewers put up a fight. They scored three runs, including a two-RBI double by Christian Yelich. Milwaukee was down 5-3.

However, Brewers relief pitcher Gus Varland gave up a two-run home run to Corbin Carroll in the bottom of the seventh inning that gave Arizona a 7-3 lead. Their bullpen shut down the Brewers the rest of the way.
