Brewers Fall 3-0 To D-Backs

The Milwaukee Brewers offense was dominated by the pitching staff of the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night in their 3-0 loss.

The Brewers struck out 15 times at the plate and mustered just three hits.

Arizona scratched a run across in the first inning to open up a 1-0 lead.

Milwaukee's best chance to score was in the second inning, when they had two runners in scoring position with one out. But Luke Voit and Brice Turang struck out to end the scoring threat.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Christian Walker hit a two-run home run to extend the D-Backs lead to 3-0.

The bright spot for the Brewers? The bullpen. They pitched three scoreless innings and extended their consecutive scoreless innings streak to 26 1/3 innings.

The Brewers are 7-3 to start the 2023 season. They play the second game of the series in Arizona on Tuesday night at 8:40pm. Listen to The Baseball Postgame Show with Tim Allen presented by Hitters Baseball Academy immediately after the game.
