The Milwaukee Brewers offense bounced right back after not scoring on Saturday night. Milwaukee scored six runs in their series-clinching victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
Willy Adames hit a two-RBI double in the third inning to give Milwaukee an early 2-0 lead.
In the fifth inning, Christian Yelich hit his first home run of the season to extend the Brewers lead to 4-1.
In the seventh inning, the Brewers scored three runs including a two-RBI double by Rowdy Tellez.
Freddy Peralta went six innings and allowed just one run. The Brewers bullpen extended their streak of consecutive scoreless innings to 24 to close out a 6-1 win.
The Brewers finish up the homestand 5-1. They are 7-2 overall to start the season.
Milwaukee heads out west to face the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night to start a three-city road trip. First pitch is at 8:40pm.
