Brewers Crush Mets For 4th Straight Win

The Milwaukee Brewers are rolling. After losing their first game of the season, they have won four games in a row, including Tuesday night's blowout win over the New York Mets 9-0.

The Brewers started the scoring early off Mets starter Max Scherzer. Christian Yelich and Willy Adames reached base in the first inning. Later in the inning, Brian Anderson hit a two-out double to bring in both Yelich and Adames. The Brewers led 2-0 after the first inning.

After that, the Brewers bats were kept mostly quiet until the sixth inning. In that inning, the Brewers hit three consecutive home runs. That is something they hadn't done since 2018. Rowdy Tellez, Brian Anderson, and Garrett Mitchell hit solo home runs consecutively. Milwaukee led 5-0 after the sixth inning. In the seventh inning, it was more of the same. Anderson and Mitchell went back-to-back with home runs again and the Brewers extended the lead to 9-0.

The pitching held serve the rest of the game, and the Brewers completed their second straight shutout of the Mets.

Wade Miley made his first start for the Brewers since 2018 and earned his 100th win.
