Brewers Trade OF Hunter Renfroe to Angels

The Milwaukee Brewers made a deal on Tuesday night. Milwaukee sent Hunter Renfroe to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for three pitchers.

RHP Janson Junk, RHP Elvis Peguero and LHP Adam Seminaris are the three pitchers coming to Milwaukee in the deal. All have little to no experience in the major leagues.

Junk appeared in 7 games (6 starts) for the Angels over the last two seasons. He made his MLB debut in 2021.

Peguero made 16 relief appearances for the Angels over the last two seasons. He also made his MLB debut in 2021.

Seminaris has yet to make his MLB debut. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 First-Year Player Draft out of California State University, Long Beach.

Renfroe batted .255 with 29 home runs and 72 RBI last season.

According to the Brewers press release, the announcement was made by Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Arnold on Tuesday night.

"We are happy to welcome three quality young arms to our organization, two of which are already on the Major League roster and have a chance to impact our team in 2023," said Arnold. "The ability to add pitching depth to an already strong stable of big-league arms is something we feel good about."
