Brewers Snap 3-Game Winning Streak with 4-2 Loss to Pirates

It was another close loss for the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night, 4-2 to the Pirates. The loss snapped their three-game losing streak.

The Pirates’ only run against Jason Alexander came in the top of the third inning when Oneil Cruz singled to right field to score Tucupita Marcano from third base. The Pirates led 1-0.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Brewers took their only lead of the night. Kolten Wong hit a two-run home run. It was his 11th of the season and third in the past four games. The Brewers led 2-1 after four innings.

Alexander finished pitching for Milwaukee after the fifth inning. He gave up just one earned run, struck out six Pirates, and walked one in the outing.

Hoby Milner pitched a scoreless sixth inning. In the seventh inning, Matt Bush gave up a solo home run to Michael Chavis which tied the game.

The Pirates took the lead when Brad Boxberger walked in a run with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning. The Pirates led 3-2.

The Pirates added another run in the top of the ninth inning on a RBI double by Oneil Cruz. The Pirates won by a score of 4-2. That snaps the Brewers three-game winning streak.

The Brewers will go for the series win on Wednesday afternoon at 1:10pm against the Pirates.
