The Brewers took the first game of the series against the Dodgers on Monday, but on Tuesday night it was a different story. The Dodgers routed the Brewers 10-1, dropping the Brewers to 5.5 games behind the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Central.
The Dodgers struck right away in the first inning with a RBI single by Freddie Freeman. The Dodgers led 1-0 early.
A three-run home run by Trayce Thompson in the bottom of the second inning, extended the Dodgers lead to 4-0. The Dodgers never looked back.
The Dodgers put up three more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to go up 7-0.
Corbin Burnes only pitched into the fourth inning and allowed seven earned runs. An uncharacteristically bad performance by the Cy Young candidate.
The Brewers earned their lone run on a Jonathan Davis RBI single in the fifth inning.
The Dodgers won 10-1.
The series finale will be played tonight at 8:10pm in Los Angeles.
