Devin Williams Finally Named To 2022 NL All-Star Team

It took a little longer than anyone preferred, but Devin Williams is officially an All-Star.

The MLB announced on Sunday, just two days before the All-Star Game is set to take place, that Devin Williams will replace Atlanta Braves pitcher Max Fried on the NL roster. This will be the first time that Devin Williams is an All-Star.

Devin Williams is more than deserving of this honor. He has not given up a run in his last 26 appearances for the Brewers. During those appearances he has struck out 40, walked just eight batters, and allowed just eight hits. His season ERA sits at 1.77.

Devin Williams will join fellow pitcher Corbin Burnes in representing the Brewers at the All-Star Game on Tuesday in Los Angeles. Josh Hader was also named to NL All-Star team, but will not attend. Corbin Burnes will attend the game, but will not pitch. That makes Devin Williams the only Brewer eligible to play in Tuesday's game.

The All-Star Game begins at 7:00pm on Tuesday evening.
