Brewers Lose to Twins 4-1 on Walk-Off Home Run

The Brewers finished up their quick two-game series in Minnesota on Wednesday afternoon with a 4-1 loss to the Twins.

Jose Miranda hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning off Josh Hader to earn the win.

The game was tied for a majority of the afternoon. The Twins scored first on an RBI single from Gilberto Celestino in the bottom of the second inning that gave the Twins a 1-0 lead.

The Brewers struck right back in the top of the third inning when Jace Peterson hit his 8th home run of the season. That is a new career high from Peterson. The game was tied 1-1.

Aaron Ashby pitched into the fifth inning and allowed just one run. He struck out five batters and walked three Twins.

Trevor Gott, Brad Boxberger, and Devin Williams all had scoreless outings out of the bullpen.

Josh Hader entered the tied game in the ninth inning and didn't record an out. Jorge Polanco and Max Kepler got on base to start the inning. The third batter of the inning was Jose Miranda. He came to the plate and hit a three-run home run to walk-off the Brewers 4-1.

The Brewers are 49-40. They open a four-game series in San Francisco against the Giants at 8:45pm on Thursday night. It will be the final series before the All-Star Break.
