Brewers' Corbin Burnes and Josh Hader Named To 2022 All Star Game

The Milwaukee Brewers will be represented at the 2022 All Star Game by two of their best pitchers: Corbin Burnes and Josh Hader.

Reigning NL Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes has been named to his second straight All Star Game and second overall appearance. He's backed up his dominant season last year with yet another one, posting a 2.20 ERA in his 17 starts on the year, covering 106.1 IP with a league leading 134 strikeouts.

Josh Hader remains the most dominant reliever in baseball and has been named to his 4th All Star Game. It's technically his 4th consecutive ASG as there wasn't a game played or team named in the 2020 season. Hader has been as good as ever this year with a 1.88 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 28.2 IP with a league leading 26 saves.

Last year the Brewers ended up with five All-Stars with Freddy Peralta, Brandon Woodruff, and Omar Narvaez joining Burnes and Hader on the NL squad. Woodruff may still have an outside chance to be named to the team as a replacement if other pitchers back out or are unable to go.

Another player deserving of a nod is Devin Williams. It's difficult for non-closer relievers to be named to the All Star team, but Williams is as deserving as anyone. He could be named as a replacement for the NL pitching staff as well if another pitcher backs out.

Congratulations to Corbin Burnes and Josh Hader on their selections to the NL All Star Team!
