The Milwaukee Brewers have struggled mightily on this homestand, and that continued on Wednesday night with a 10-0 loss to the Phillies at American Family Field. Milwaukee has lost five straight games.
Adrian Houser had given up just three home runs in his 10 starts so far this season, but on Wednesday he gave up three home runs in six innings. That ties his career high for home runs given up in a game. Bryson Scott, Rhys Hoskins, and Odubel Herrera hit the home runs for the Phillies. Bryce Harper added a three-run home run in the 9th inning to make it a 10-0 game.
On offense, the Brewers accumulated just four hits and never got a runner to third base. Even with Willy Adames back in the lineup and Christian Yelich batting leadoff, the offense continued to struggle.
The Brewers will try to avoid the sweep against the Phillies on Thursday afternoon at American Family Field at 1:10pm.
