Brewers bats go silent once again

The Milwaukee Brewers offensive woes continued on Monday night, culminating in their third straight loss, falling to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, 5-3.

No-hit through five innings, Milwaukee finally reached base on an Omar Narvaez’ ground ball down the third base line defeated Chicago’s infield pull shift.

Once again, the failure of the team to put the ball in play plagued the Brewers in Chicago. Through their first four games, Milwaukee batters have struck out a whopping 48 times.

“We didn't get off to a good start again today, Brewers manager Craig Counsell told reporters after the game. “We obviously need more runs; we just obviously haven't gotten them so far.”

Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m., the two teams will play again. Freddy Peralta will pitch for Milwaukee, opposed by Chicago’s Adbert Alzolay.
