Reds one-hit Brewers in Game 2 of doubleheader, win 6-0

One hit is all the Brewers could come up with in their 6-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds in Game 2 of a doubleheader on Thursday night. Milwaukee dropped both contests in the twin bill.

Former Brewers pitcher Wade Miley led the effort for the Reds, going four innings and allowing the one hit. Another former Brewer, Mike Moustakas, had two hits as the Reds' offense piled up nine total in the victory.

All told, the Brewers managed just one run on eight hits in the two games combined, lowering their season batting average to .211, the second-lowest mark in MLB.

With the losses, Milwaukee is now tied with Cincinnati for third in the NL Central. The Brewers face the last-place Pittsburgh Pirates next for four games, beginning Friday night at 7:10 p.m.
