Brewers take down Reds 4-2 Monday night

Milwaukee jumped out to a 4-0 lead and won at Cincinnati 4-2 on Monday night. The Brewers' victory over the Reds snapped a four-game losing streak.

Justin Smoak hit a two-run home run and drove in three runs total to boost the Brewers' offense in the win.

Brett Anderson pitched into the seventh inning before giving way to the bullpen, allowing two runs on five hits. Milwaukee's bullpen tosses three innings without allowing a hit, striking out six Reds.

Game two of the four-game series is Tuesday night in Milwaukee, the second game of a 10-game homestand.
