Brewers avoid no-hitter, but fall in 12 innings to Twins 4-3

Milwaukee broke up a no-hit bid by Kenta Maeda in the ninth inning to start a three-run rally to force extra innings, but the Minnesota Twins were able to walk-off the Brewers 4-3 in the 12th inning on Tuesday night in Minnesota.

Eric Sogard started the rally in the ninth with a hit to break up the no-hitter, but Jorge Polanco hit into a fielder's choice to allow the winning run to score in the bottom of the 12th to give the Twins the win.

For the Brewers, their three-game winning streak ends.

The second game of the series is Wednesday night at 7:10 p.m. Brett Anderson of the Brewers faces Rich Hill, fresh off the IL, of the Twins.
