Brewers lose late lead in 6-4 loss to White Sox Monday night

Leading 4-2 heading to the seventh inning, the Milwaukee Brewers gave up four unanswered runs, seeing a two-out rally in the bottom of the ninth fizzle in a 6-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Monday night.

Keston HIura doubled to keep hope alive in the bottom of the ninth with two outs on the board, but Christian Yelich grounded out to end the game.

After three innings of work by Brett Anderson, fresh off the Injured List, Milwaukee's bullpen surrendered four runs on seven hits with four walks in six innings of work.

Monday was the Milwaukee Brewers' home opener, which was supposed to be Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals before that series was postponed due to coronavirus within the Cardinals' traveling party.

Milwaukee fell to 3-4 with the loss. The Brewers and White Sox play three more games this week, once Tuesday at Miller Park before heading to Chicago for a pair of games.
