With the St. Louis Cardinals defeating the Chicago Cubs on Sunday, the Cardinals clinch the NL Central, which sends the Milwaukee Brewers to the NL Wild Card game. The Brewers will play at the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night.
The Brewers took four of six games from Washington during the regular season in 2019.
For Milwaukee, it's the sixth playoff trip in franchise history, and the first back-to-back appearance in the postseason since 1981-82, when Milwaukee was in the American League and reached the World Series in 1982. Last year, the Brewers fell in Game 7 of the National League Championship Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers, who await the winner of the Brewers-Nationals game.
