Milwaukee's seventh win in a row resulted in a sweep of the Miami Marlins, thanks to a 3-2 victory Thursday afternoon in which Ryan Braun hit a home run while wearing Christian Yelich's jersey underneath his own to power the Brewers to victory.
Braun's two-run shot in the third put the Brewers ahead for good as five pitchers combined to hold the Marlins to two runs, including a run-free performance by the bullpen over five innings.
With the win, the Brewers move a half-game in front of the Chicago Cubs for the final wild card spot, and Milwaukee will have a chance to chase the St. Louis Cardinals this weekend in the division race as they face the Cardinals for three games on the road.
