Keston Hiura was named NL Rookie of the Month for July after batting .355 with six home runs, including a walk-off winner against the Chicago Cubs.
Hiura also racked up 10 doubles, 18 RBI, 33 hits, and 17 runs to go with his 1.126 OPS.
The 23-year-old rookie, who celebrated his birthday August 2, is batting .316 in 7 games this year at the MLB level entering play August 3. Hiura has hit 11 home runs and has a season OPS of .979.
Hiura earned a short call-up early in the season, but was demoted as part of the season-long roster shuffling Milwaukee has done with its infielders and pitchers due to injury, ineffectiveness, or both.
Hiura was also named NL Player of the Week for July 21.
