Milwaukee's second trade for a pitcher this week sends former All-Star first baseman Jesus Aguilar to Tampa in exchange for right-handed pitcher Jake Faria.
Faria, 25, has served as a relief pitcher this season after spending his first two years in the majors as a starter. In 10 innings this season at the MLB level, Faria has a 2.70 ERA and 11 strikeouts. For his career, Faria has a 4.18 ERA in 161 2/3 innings pitched.
Aguilar, a 2018 NL All Star, has an OPS of .694 this season in 262 plate appearances. After hitting 35 home runs and 108 RBI a season ago, his numbers have dropped to just eight homers and 34 RBI so far in 2019.
