Woodruff pitched well into the eighth inning, allowing just one run on six hits with no walks. Hader went 1-2-3 in the ninth to clinch the win for Milwaukee.
Eric Thames hit a home run in the winning effort for the Brewers, who trailed 1-0 in the first inning before rallying for two runs in the bottom of the first.
