Unable to find any rhythm against the last-place Mariners, the Milwaukee Brewers lost to Seattle 8-3 on Tuesday night in the series opener between the squads.
Zach Davies lasted just four innings, allowing six hits and six runs to come across. The bullpen allowed six additional hits and two more runs to score, and Jimmy Nelson walked four batters in his two-inning stint.
Ryan Braun and Jesus Aguilar combined for five of the Brewers' eight hits in the loss.
Game two of the series is Wednesday at Miller Park.
