Milwaukee's defense misplayed an infield fly in the bottom of the seventh, allowing the San Diego Padres to rally to beat the Brewers 8-7 on Wednesday afternoon to complete a three-game sweep.
The Brewers finished up their eight-game road trip just 2-6.
Zach Davies was run early, giving up nine hits and five runs in less than three innings of work. Adrian Houser kept the Brewers in it through the sixth, but Jeremy Jeffress got tagged for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to take the loss.
The top of the Brewers order got seven of the team's nine hits, including three by Christian Yelich, who ran his hitting streak up to 15 games.
Milwaukee begins a four-game series with the Cincinnati Reds Thursday night at Miller Park.
