A six-run bottom of the third inning by Pittsburgh proved to be too much for Milwaukee to overcome, losing 9-4 on Friday night in game two of a four-game series with the Pirates.
Jhoulys Chacin was dented for seven runs on six hits and four walks, including three walks that brought in a run, in only two and two-thirds innings of work. Freddy Peralta gave up six hits and two runs in three-plus innings of relief as well.
Keston Hiura had three hits, including a three-run home run, but also made two errors on a play to allow the Pirates to tack on two more runs later in the game.
The series continues Saturday in Pittsburgh.
