Milwaukee's bats came alive in a big win over Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon. The Brewers beat the Phillies 11-3 to take three of the four games in the series.
Milwaukee racked up 13 hits, including three-hit games by Christian Yelich (who hit two home runs), Ryan Braun, and Mike Moustakas. Zach Davies added a pair of hits out of the nine-spot in the order and threw six innings with only one earned run allowed and four hits allowed.
Matt Albers and Adrian Houser had three scoreless innings in relief to preserve the Brewers' big victory.
The Brewers now head for Atlanta for a three-game weekend series beginning Friday night. The teams are both in second place in their respective divisions.
