Brewers put up six in 7th inning, beat Nationals 6-0 on Tuesday

A bases-clearing double by Lorenzo Cain in the seventh inning broke up a scoreless game, paving the way for a decisive six-run frame in Milwaukee's fifth straight win on Tuesday night at Miller Park. The Brewers beat the Washington Nationals 6-0.

In addition to the six-spot in the seventh, the Milwaukee Brewers allowed just five hits between three pitchers with 10 strikeouts. Adrian Houser opened the game with a pair of scoreless innings before giving way to Freddy Peralta, who responded with five strong innings of work, allowing just three hits and striking out five. Burch Smith closed out the game in the eighth and ninth innings without giving up a hit.

Milwaukee goes for the sweep in a day game Wednesday afternoon at Miller Park.
