Milwaukee held off the New York Mets' rally attempts late in their 8-6 win on Saturday night, as Josh Hader closed the door in the ninth inning to secure the victory for the Brewers.
Trailing 6-1 entering the bottom of the seventh, the Mets pounded Alex Wilson, Alex Claudio, and Jeremy Jeffress for five runs before Hader came in to strike out five Mets in two innings of work to clinch the game.
Milwaukee collected 14 hits in the game, including three apiece by Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain.
The series finale is Sunday in New York.
