Travis Shaw blasted two home runs, and now has three in two games against the Cardinals, but the Milwaukee Brewers lost 4-3 in St. Louis on Tuesday night. Milwaukee has lost three in a row and six of its past seven games.
Zach Davies lasted just four and two-thirds innings pitched, giving up seven hits and two runs. The bullpen kept the Cardinals off the board until the eighth inning, when Alex Wilson gave up a pair of runs that would prove to be the decisive scoring plays in the game.
Milwaukee wraps up its series with St. Louis on Wednesday shortly after noon.
