Brewers take Game 6 of NLCS 7-2 over Dodgers

A hot start for Milwaukee's bats got the Brewers off and running in a 7-2 win over Los Angeles in Game 6 of the NLCS, forcing a deciding Game 7 in Milwaukee on Saturday night.

After the Dodgers scored a run in the top of the first, the Brewers put four across in the bottom of the first, and never looked back. Milwaukee added a run in the second, as well as the seventh and eight innings, to force the franchise's first Game 7 since the 1982 World Series.

Every Brewers starting position player reached base, with all but one player notching a hit, and only four pitchers were used in the winning effort. Wade Miley pitched into the fifth before giving way to Corey Knebel, who was on for five outs. Jeremy Jeffress pitched the seventh, and Corbin Burnes provided two strikeouts in the ninth inning as part of a six-out effort by Burnes to close out the Dodgers.

Game 7 is at 7:09 p.m. at Miller Park. The winner takes on Boston at Fenway Park next Tuesday night in the World Series.
