John Smoltz, who will call the NLCS on Fox tonight in Milwaukee, says that the Brewers have such a good bullpen that is used in a way that leverages the depth they have in the staff, it's changed how he views pitching match-ups in playoff series.
Smoltz told Dan Patrick that he used to give the edge to starting pitching, saying that a good starting pitching staff would win in the long run in the postseason. However, the Brewers' success at using their bullpen and getting a lead faster (and then playing from in front with a monster bullpen to close games out) has changed how he views the Brewers-Dodgers series.
