Gio Gonzalez will start Game 1, Wade Miley will start Game 2, and Jhoulys Chacin will start Game 3 of the NLCS for the Milwaukee Brewers as they take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Gonzalez was acquired for the final month of the season by the Brewers from the Nationals, and didn't face the Dodgers this season. He went 3-0 for the Brewers in the regular season, and pitched against the Dodgers in the 2016 NLDS, earning a win for the Nationals.
Miley was acquired this offseason in free agency by the Brewers, and pitched twice against the Dodgers this July. He went 1-0 over 13 innings in the two starts, holding the Dodgers to two hits in seven innings in a 1-0 win on July 31. Miley's first postseason pitching experience came this year in the NLDS, winning Game 3 as Milwaukee swept Colorado last week.
Chacin was also acquired this offseason in free agency by the Brewers, losing his only start against the Dodgers this year in a 21-5 blowout by Los Angeles as Chacin was touched up for eight earned runs and three home runs in an August loss. His lone postseason start was a 4-0 win in the NLDS Game 2 last week, in which he pitched five innings on short rest.
