First pitch is at 4:07 p.m. today at Miller Park as the Milwaukee Brewers open up the NLDS against the Colorado Rockies. Brandon Woodruff will be the initial out-getter in today's contest.
Manager Craig Counsell is taking the approach to use the strength of the Brewers--their bullpen--as much as can be effective against Colorado in the best-of-five series.
The 25-man roster for the NLDS was revealed today, showing only 11 pitchers. Three of them can be considered more "traditional" starters, although the Brewers will not only go "bullpen day" in Game 1, but plan on moving from Jhoulys Chacin to their bullpen in Game 2 relatively early as well.
Colorado beat the Chicago Cubs in the NL Wild Card Game on Tuesday. The Brewers and Rockies have never met in the postseason.
