Milwaukee avoided a spoiler by the Detroit Tigers on Friday night, as the Brewers rallied to a 6-5 win and clinched home field for an NL Wild Card game on Tuesday should that be the game they end up in for the playoffs.
Nicholas Castellanos gave the Brewers a gift in the eighth inning, which cost the Tigers as Milwaukee added a run in the bottom of the eighth to pull ahead for good.
Ryan Braun hit two home runs in the game, and now has five this week in four games.
Milwaukee remains a game back of Chicago with two games left in the regular season in the NL Central chase.
