Eric Karros of Fox Sports says that the depth of the Milwaukee Brewers, both in the bullpen and on the bench, could be the key to overtaking the Chicago Cubs for the NL Central lead.
Milwaukee's recent three-game winning streak, coupled with a pair of Cubs losses to Pittsburgh, has the Brewers a half game back in the division with four games to play (the Cubs have five games left entering Wednesday). With the Brewers playing the also-ran Detroit Tigers, while the Cubs have to face the top pitchers of the Pittsburgh Pirates, it's a very real possibility that Milwaukee, on the verge of clinching a playoff spot, could get past the Cubs for the NL Central crown.
