Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, Josh Hader named All-Stars

First-place Milwaukee will send a trio of All-Stars to Washington, D.C. next week, as Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, and Josh Hader were all named to the NL All-Star team. Teammate Jesús Aguilar is part of the fan voting for the final spot as well.

Cain was an All-Star in 2015 with the Kansas City Royals, when he finished third in the AL MVP voting and batted .307 that season with 16 home runs, both career-highs. This will be his second All-Star appearance.

Considered one of the game's rising stars, Christian Yelich is making his first All-Star roster. Yelich won a Gold Glove in 2014 and a Silver Slugger in 2016 when he was with the Miami Marlins.

Josh Hader is pitching in his second major league season. Already his half-season totals are eclipsing his full 2017 with the Brewers, with more strikeouts, fewer walks, hits, and runs allowed, and a much lower ERA at 1.21. This is Hader's first All-Star roster.
