Milwaukee's bats couldn't get going against Corey Kluber, and the Brewers fell in Cleveland 3-2 on Tuesday night.
Travis Shaw hit a solo home run, and the Brewers in total had eight hits, but only produced two runs in their loss on Tuesday night.
Junior Guerra gave up three runs in six innings, with five strikeouts. Kluber allowed seven hits, but walked none and struck out seven as well over seven innings to pick up the win.
Shaw's home run came off of Cody Allen in the top of the ninth inning to bring Milwaukee within one run, but the rally fell short.
The two teams will complete the short two-game series on Wednesday afternoon in Cleveland.
