1 Wisconsin City Named Among The 'Most Dangerous Cities In America'

Do you feel like you live in a dangerous city? There's a possibility that you do, based on a new report that lists one destination in Wisconsin among the most dangerous places in the entire country.

Safe and Sound Security compiled a list of the 20 "most dangerous cities in America" in 2024, and one destination in Wisconsin found a spot on the list alongside cities like Memphis, St. Louis, New York City, Detroit and New Orleans, to name a few.

Ranking No. 11 overall, Milwaukee has high rates of violent crime, with the most common crime being aggravated assault. Here's what Safe and Sound Security had to say about the safety issues concerning Milwaukee:

"Milwaukee faces ongoing challenges with violent crime, with aggravated assault being the most prevalent. At a violent crime rate of 15.18 per 1,000 residents, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is one of the most dangerous cities in the United States. The city's efforts to combat crime include focusing on high-risk communities and improving the effectiveness of law enforcement strategies. These measures aim to reduce the number of victims and improve overall community resilience against crime."
