Chloe x Halle's Chlöe Shares Debut Solo Single 'Have Mercy'

Chlöe Bailey has already seen incredible success as part of the duo Chloe x Halle, alongside her sister Halle. The two received a Grammy nomination for their sophomore record, Ungodly Hour, and have spent years shaking up R&B with their sweet melodies and fresh spin. With the two creating their own separate social media accounts earlier this year, fans have been patiently waiting to see what each sister has up their sleeve.

Chlöe went on to announce that she would be releasing her debut solo album via Parkwood Entertainment/Colombia, and she has now shared the first taste of it with her debut solo single, "Have Mercy."

The singer steps out to embody absolute confidence in her new single. The 23-year-old struts and captivates in the music video for the track, Chlöe luring and capturing men in a siren-esque fashion. Her soft vocals alternate between a floating chorus that draws listeners in and a quick flow that dances over the "Have Mercy" sample that weaves its way throughout the track.

With the creation of their own social media accounts, Chlöe began to come into her own. Sharing fun dance moves that eventually made their way into the singer's "Have Mercy" music video, she expressed that she was learning how to accept herself and her body. Speaking in an Instagram live last February, the singer said that "it's okay to be all that you are and to stand in that power."

Chloe x Halle's Grammy-nominated album, Ungodly Hour, saw a special Chrome Edition last February with two new tracks. During an interview with iHeartRadio's Emily Curl for the "Leading Ladies" series, the pair of sisters expressed how Beyoncé and Michelle Obama have inspired them through their career.
