Kobe King to transfer to Nebraska: CBS, ESPN report

A former Badger has a new home in college hoops.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports and Jeff Borzello of ESPN both report that former Wisconsin Badger Kobe King has committed to play at Nebraska next fall.

King, who hasn't played for the Badgers in nearly a month, left the team before Wisconsin took on Iowa late in January. At the time, it was announced as a personal matter.

King started all 19 games he played for the Badgers this season, averaging 10 points per contest. His penultimate game as a Badger was against Nebraska on January 21.

Nebraska is coached by Fred Hoiberg, who had a previous stop in the NBA as well as at Iowa State.

King is expected to have two seasons of eligibility, and is also expected to apply for a waiver to play as soon as this fall for the Cornhuskers.
