Bangor beat Black Hawk in last year's Division 7 championship game. Now, the two teams meet in a state semifinal to decide who moves on to Camp Randall. Black Hawk coach Cory Milz previews the match-up and how his team has formed its identity on a thus-far undefeated campaign.
Coach Milz says that his team has played extremely well on defense, and has also played well on special teams, helping in field position and scoring opportunities. The offense has relied almost solely upon the talents of the running game, including Colby Argall, one of the top backs in the state of Wisconsin.
In terms of the match-up, Milz expects a close game, as Bangor lost to Potosi/Cassville late in the regular season in non-conference game (Black Hawk has won two close games with Potosi/Cassville this year). Milz sees a similar team to his in this meeting, two physical teams that favor the run.
