After playing for a conference title two weeks ago, Marshall slots in as a #8 seed, set to take on top-seeded Lake Country Lutheran, last year's runner-up in Division 5.
Cardinals coach Matt Kleinheinz figures if his team has to play good teams anyways, why not start off with one of the state's best. Lake Country Lutheran has already bested some of the other top schools in southern Wisconsin, including Mineral Point and Lakeside Lutheran. One of the big positives, says Kleinheinz, is that the small but talented senior class at Marshall will get a shot at one of the state's best, and that's a credit to their leadership to bring the team back to the postseason.
Marshall will be at Lake Country Lutheran this Friday in the Division 5 playoffs.
