One of the big games in the area Friday night has Waunakee taking on Reedsburg, as the Warriors put their 20-game winning streak on the line.
Waunakee coach Pat Rice says the Badger North has thrown all sorts of looks at the Warriors, but the flexbone of Reedsburg is unique. That means Waunakee will be forced to play assignment football, as he describes it, and that can be a challenge for a group that has 10 new starters from a year ago.
The defense has been lights-out so far this year, and the offense has been rolling. Still, Coach Rice is aware that every team they face is going to pull out all the stops and try to be the one to end the Warriors' 20-game streak, tied for the longest in the state with three other teams.
